imagej software package provides Image processing program inspired by NIH Image, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install imagej
imagej is installed in your system.
Make ensure the imagej package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep imagej *
You will get with imagej package name, version, architecture and description in a table
